Whitsundays Long Island Resort Questions, QLD? Im a full time uni student, and for my partners 18th, we decided on a holiday to Long Island resort for a week. As we are poor, I was wondering if anyone has been there and can give us some helpful hints. Does the shute harbor boat check in your bags. I was thinking of brining bottles of alcohol and some food as Ive been told that everything there is insanley expensive. I live on a tropical Pacific Island. I can not dicide where to go on holiday? I live and work on Guam, US Marianas Islands. I have worked abroad for several years (30) and usually go to somewhere like Bali, Lombok, Maritus or other tropical islands for vacation. Since Guam is virtually a tropical paradise and I live in a condo that would qualify as a resort, I am having a terrible time trying to decide where to go. The company I work for pays my airline fare anywhere I want to go and I can't see just letting it go to waste. Hell of a delima.

Which Balearic island resort is best for me? I am looking to book a holiday to either Ibiza, Minorca or Mallorca and wondered if anybody could give me some information about resorts you have stayed at that may be suitable for me. What's the best holiday destination in Cuba? I'm looking at travelling solo to Cuba for a one-week holiday, but I can't decide on a destination. Varadero, Holguin and Caya Coco sound like the top places to go. From what I can gather, based on what I've read and heard from those I know who've been to Cuba, Varadero is party central, Holguin is quiet and more aimed at couples/families and Caya Coco is the place to go if you don't mind spending your entire holiday sequestered on an island resort with no outside contact. What is a good holiday destination in Cyprus? We are looking for a holiday in the beautiful island of Cyprus. We have a teenager and a child, my husband and I. We love beach holidays with great swimming and snorkelling, but not crowded resorts like Ayia Napa. We like it to be tourist friendly in a way, but we also love local charm, great food and wine and preferably good 4 or 5 star hotels. I do not really know Cyprus so please could somebody enlighten me?

Daydream Island review? Australians please? Hi, I'm an Aussie myself and have never visited up North before. I'm considering a holiday to the Whitsundays Island, "Daydream" and was wondering if anyone had any personal experiences to speak of - positive or negative? I have heard that the service isn't always the best as the Daydream Island resort has a tendency to hire International backpackers for a year or so or younger folks to work there where pleasing the guests isn't always a top priority. And although Daydream isn't as flash, pricey or top-end as Hayman Island (a well known American Tourist Hot Spot), I have heard that the cost of things on Daydream are a little expensive - like for drinks / meals etc....is this true? Any advice, personal experiences, hints, tips etc would be greatly appreciated. Which restaurant is the best place to eat at on Daydream Island etc? How do you book a holiday without a travel agent? I am about to book a holiday for my family and I to Malaysia and it looks like I might be able to save money if I organise it all myself. Judging by the accommodation and airfares I can save but then what else is there that travel agents arrange? How do you figure out how to get to your resort from the airport? We are travelling to Langkawi and the plane goes to KL, once we get to KL how do we get to the island? What other things havent I thought of?

Energy sources on a island? For my geography class we have created an island and we have to say how we will power it. It is a small island somewhere in the Caribbean (it's made up) and needs something to generate energy for a holiday resort we are building there, without destroying the beautiful environment (only renewable sources). Me and my partner are planning a holiday for 2 weeks AI to the maldives next year and have narrowed it down to a few islands. Vilamendhoo, club hakura (chaaya lagoon), or meedhupparu island. Am i right in thinking vilamendhoo is now lacking in beach in a lot of areas? if so where is best to stay on that island?. Club hakura looks like a superb resort, only i am lead to believe you have to take a boat to the house reef. Is this correct? and is there much to be seen in the lagoon by the water bungalows? please be as specific as possible. Finally meedhupparu has a lot of mixed reviews on the internet and i am very wary of how good this island actually is. Many thanks.

My friend and I are planning a week's holiday in Greece next May, but we're having trouble deciding between Lesvos, Kefalonia or Kos so I'm hoping some people on here might be able to offer some advice. How much money should we take on our Holiday to Fiji? We've got accommodation covered - food not included. We'll be there for 8 nights, staying at the Outrigger Resort on the Coral Coast. 10th Wedding Anniversary next Summer. My husband and I are going on holiday, but we can't decide? We are thinking about going to either Turkey, Cyprus or one of the greek Islands. a REAL fiji beach holiday? I want to go to Fiji for a relaxing beach holiday... but I want to experience the REAL Fiji - not just a westernised resort. I've heard that the main island is rubbish and that I should get out to an island but there are many - I want one with a white sandy beach and relaxed atmosphere. Which Balearic island resort is best for me? I am looking to book a holiday to either Ibiza, Minorca or Mallorca and wondered if anybody could give me some information about resorts you have stayed at that may be suitable for me. Going on Holiday at aged 16? Hey, In 2010 my friends (4of us) are planning to go away to the Canary Islands... Preferabley Lanzarote, Costa Teguise because i have been there about 6 times in my life. Our parents all like the idea and being responsible, but there are not many Airlines that consider the age 16 to be an adult. The only one i can find is Easyjet whichs says when booking a holiday - adult 16+.... Now we really want to go, and in 2010 we will be 16, almost 17; would that be ok to fly? If yes, could someone recommend some airlines? We would like to be able to book a holiday not just a flight. Im thinking about the resort Nazaret (in costa teguise) because i have been there alot and its also 2 min walk from the beach, so its not a hotel issue unless they don't allow people under 18 to stay there, its more about the flight and whether we would be allowed? Does anyone live in the Maldives? I know it sounds stupid but does anyone actually live in the Maldives except for on the main island? Because on holiday programmes where they usually show "the warm culture of the people who live here" all they show here are the beaches and hotel/resorts. The only people are the staff and the tourists. I would love to go to the Maldives.

Child-free Holidays...? Hi there! I'm looking to go on a week-long vacation with my friend, to either Fiji or Whitsundays, Queensland. The catch? I dislike children, and am finding it hard to discover resorts that mention they are child-free (clearly, my friend and I are in the minority...). So, my question: any recommendations as to resorts/island/hotels that have strict child policies, or that are less frequented by families? I recently went to Brampton Island with the understanding that they did not cater for children under 15, and yet still found children at the resort. Alcudia or Palma Nova? Given the choice which would be better for a holiday this August. We have whittled the choice down to Palma Nova or Alcudia We have been to Majorca before and stayed in Arenal but as it was mostly of a German persuasion would like to try another resort on the island. im going to pulau perhentian in terengganu malaysia this august,which resorts give the best offer and package? im going with a friend, and we r on limited budget.. and right now, a travel agent suggest bubbles resort, but i read a few review saying that the resort is nice but the package is quite boring.. CHAPTER ONE: They call me Jen, but that’s just my nickname, my real name is Jenny Forehand. I am twelve years old and one hundred and fifty seven centimeters tall. Most people say that I am really short and I am, but I hate it and I so wished I was taller like the others. I am a pretty confident person especially since last year when I broke my left wrist in five places! The doctor says he’s never seen that before, I was unique then. I spent two weeks in hospital and six weeks with a half cast on. I felt pretty special not having to do much at school because of it. I’m in sixth grade now and so far its been a pretty good year. “Jen, breakfast is ready” shouts mum. Well that’s my mum, she is a special person. We used to do lots of things together but now that she has two jobs there is little much that we do. Mum has two jobs to earn more money to get us out of this old house we are renting in now. Not just any hat though it has to be a navy blue, broad brim, ugly neck chocking hat, yes and if you don’t bring one to school you have to wear what we call “a burgundy kindy hat.” It’s the hat that has the flap at the back of your head to protect your neck and if kids around see you wearing those hat… well your pretty much laughed at. Any who you don’t just wear the hat you also have to pick up rubbish at recess and lunch. I thought it was a plain stupid punishment, but the good thing was we didn’t have to wear a hat in winter. At least that was ok. Too bad we are in spring. When we got to school I met up with my friends Samantha, Lilly and Katie. Samantha is my best friend; I have known her since prep. We share everything together and we are inseparable. If I was going on an island resort and could only pick one friend to go with me it would be Samantha. She has long brown hair and blue eyes just like me, mum says we look a bit like twins. Lilly is the hypo one. I have known her since grade 1. She is has an out there personality always on the move. Lilly is very active and goes for any opportunity to be in any sport events. She has short, blonde layered hair and hazel green eyes. We are really good friends but she doesn’t quite reach the best friend mark, yet she is still my good friend. Katie, one of the prettiest girls in my primary school. I told her she should be a model when she gets older, but she denies being pretty at all as usual. I have known Katie since half of grade 1 when she was new to the school. Katie is the smart, funny and pretty one in the group and she is three centimeters taller than me. Katie is also my good friend, but she doesn’t quite make the best friend mark either but her and Lilly both know that they are very special friends to me. need job ideas? Ok I am an 18 male Australian I am having trouble of deciding what I should do for a job now. I should of probably went on a working holiday at a canadian ski resort but was too dumb to take up the chance this year, I guess I could go for summer and work at a resort and go to a job fair in winter. I should of even got a job in Australia at a ski resort but missed that too. Got to apply april for that So ideas I am thinking now are whitsunday islands area (in QLD,AUS), apply to some resorts there, try a different program overseas through IEP, OWH or STA travel. Do you get an aeroplane direct there and then transport to the hotel?
