Which island in Hawaii is better to visit for a romantic getaway?

  1. honolulu...it rocks
  2. I would suppose that would depend on if you want to: 1- Go on a cruise. 2- Fly to Hawaii then stay at a particular Hotel. Having said that, you also have to consider: 1-Your Travel Budget. 2-Date of departure. 3-City of departure. If you want to cruise, then you get to stop at almost all of the Hawaiian Islands. If you just want to fly there and have a Hotel then I would recommend the Islands of Maui or Molokai. Both are in my personal and professional opinion(Have been to both Islands; am also Owner of a Travel Agency) not only very scenic, but ideal for a romantic getaway. I'd love to help you further, but your information thus far is scant. Kindly either call, email me at: indysteve1563@yahoo.com, or contact me through Yahoo Messenger with your specific criteria, and I will assist you in finding the most economically doable romantic getaway to Hawaii.
  3. Oahu is my choice!!
  4. oahu is big, busy and a nice 'stop over'... if you want romantic, you might consider one of the other islands. i like maui for it's diversity, kauai for it's lush green topagraphy and the big island of hawaii for it's volanic beaches near kona and the mountains and active volcano. maui offers activity and seclusion. kauai and hawaii shut down early in the evening.
  5. well i live on maui. and its not as crowded here as it is in honolulu, so it might be a bit more romantic. plus they have the best beach here. its awesome.
  6. I have been to HAwaii about 5 times and here's what I suggest. Plan your trip to go to Honolulu for just 2 or 3 days so you have time to see Pearl Harbor and other attractions on Oahu like the north shore, Diamond head and maybe the Polynesian Cultural Center. Then fly to Maui, which is much less crowded and has beautiful beaches and hotels and attractions of its own. Then arrange to fly home from Maui. That's what we did on our last trip. On Maui you can drive the Road to Hana, do a bike ride down Haleiaka, go to the Iao park or the aqueriam. Or go directly to MAui and do a day trip to other islands. I have used Roberts for that and they are good.
  7. i would go to maui , for my wife an i its the most romantic and beautiful
  8. It depends on what you are looking for? Remoteness? Stay away from Oahu and Maui. Lots of activities? Oahu, Maui and the Big Island are great places. Beautiful nature - the Big Island and Kauai. A lot of famous people own homes on Kauai because it is beautiful and there are not many tourists, though it seems to offer the basic necessities. The Big Island is cool to see natural wonders. Lanai and Molokai are nice if you just want to be alone. Oahu and Maui are okay but are flooded with tourists. I vote for Kauai.
  9. Definitely Maui. Oahu has 1,000,000 residents, Maui has 1/10th,100,000 residents. Taking wine or champagne & some french bread, cheese, & fruit, & beer (which actuallu goes better w/ cheese & dry salame , & french baguette. After Kapalua Bay Hotel & the Ritz carlton you can drive around the North side of the island or stop at one of the beaches or cliffs(not too many beaches on that side) magnificent sunsets & no civilization just winding country roads. Great sunsets, good for early am snorkeling.Lanai also has 2 hotels that are spectacular. 2000 residents. Kauai has 65,000 residents. I would go to Maui. Aloha & have fun.
