What is the best Caribbean island to vacation on?

The main things we're looking for are beauty, romance, fun, and good snorkeling. We also love a spectacular sunset. We'd like to not spend too much money, but if we must spend a lot for the best, we're willing to do it. Also, we can only go after Christmas, or in the summer. Please ONLY answer this if you've actually spent vacation time on the island you're recommending. Please give details about your experiences there. Lots of advice is encouraged! Thanks.

2. I went to Caribbean at Dominican Republic this April, all ultra incl,4* hotel in Sosua (Sosua Bay hotel). The hotel is great, you can do snorkling just next to it each day (incl in the price), I have some pictures of wonderful sunset on my 360° - taking just from the hotel & bay next to it, I can send more if you want. The hotels is loved by Canadians (90%). The rest of the visitors are Americans, some European... Food is OK/good too, several restaurants within the hotel. The overall score I would give about 85%.
3. I recently went to Montego Bay, Jamaica and had a great time (i was on a cruise so i got to see a bunch of islands) I did a canopy zip line tour there and it was awesome! They also have a lot of shops there and you can haggle the price down on everything. Just don't pay what it says on the tag or you'll get ripped off.haha. They also have duns falls there too. Lots of stuff to do and its beautiful! Have fun where ever you go. If you go to Grand Cayman at all def. do the Stingray city... it was unbelievable and very safe!haha. That island is also very pretty.
