Perhentian Island?

Im planning to have a quick getaway trip to Perhentian Island (Besar) with another female friend in 2 weeks' time for a few days. I was wondering if the Wet Monsoon will be over by then and if there are other nicer islands to go to apart from Tioman and Redang. Also, is a budget of RM 300 per person enough? We dont mind cheap lodging.

1. RM300 is hardly enough, U got to think of transport to get to Trengganu and back. The monsoon should be over by then but nowadays nature cannot be predicted, the best advice on this get to the weather man or Jabatan Meteology. Ofcouse U will be enchanted by the beauty of Perhentian once U are there and you may want to extend your stay. Have a nice trip.
2. monsoon is coming to the end but not over yet. can expected high tide. tioman, redang & perhentian is almost the same there beacuse it is in the east coast. RM 300/person is hardly enough. Bring RM 500, just to be on the save side
