What is a nice, tropical island somewhere in the Carrribean that is a good place to take a vacation?

My boyfriend and I are planning on going on a vacation this summer, I have been told that St. Martin amd St. Croix are nice.. Have you been somewhere in the Carribean that was wonderful and fun?? Any suggestions/recommendations?

2. We were in St Croix in October and are planning on moving there in a couple years. We met the most incredible people there. Be aware that everyone is on "island time", which is the case for most of the islands. All of the caribbean is wonderful. just start with a map and pick a place. if you do go to st croix, stop in at SCUBA WEST in Frederickstead. Take up scuba, they have some great diving and be sure to tell Chris and Laura-"sylvia said HI"
3. been to st. martin during the month of august once, was very muggy there and rained alot, not a very clean place either, the french will take your money , if you go there go to the dutch side of the island, friendlier there, if you want to disrobe, then its the french side for you, but there are much better places for that, i suggest you try another dutch island of aruba, around the same price, but cleaner and friendlier and its south of the hurricane belt so you get beautiful weather 24/7/365... been there in oct 05 and going back in april 06.....been there, done it all, write me and i'll fill you in
