Is it worth taking an island vacation in the Philippines during August?

I'm spending most of next year in Manila on business and plan to take my 2 week vacation mid to late August. If i stay in the Philippines and take an island holidy in Boracay, Bohol etc... is it going to rain every day or should i just pack myself off to another location, Bali, Bangkok, Hoing Kong etc...

2. Rainy season is the same no matter where in Asia you are. Going to Thailand is not going to change the weather. Who can predict weather it will rain everday for a couple hours or not at all for days at a time. If your that concerned go to the caribbean.
3. no, an august island vacation in the Philippines is not a very good idea because the rainy season will definitely put a damper on your plans - unless rain and storm is part of your planned vacation.
4. Re arrange your schedule so your holiday won't be during the rainy season mate.
5. Nope it's rainy season, go in the summer, March, or May...
