Any ideas for month of May island getaway for honeymoon that won't break the bank?

We'll be flying out of Houston and would love any ideas on how to spend a week on a pristine island beach on the cheap - but not that cheap I guess....economical. Any ideas on ball parking the amount we'd be looking at or what you spent wuld be awesome!

1. I'm sort of new at this too but from what I've heard May is the end of the busy season and a great time to get a good deal. A nice travel site with good info and great prices is cheapcaribbean.com I also like to use tripadvisor.com to learn about the islands and get others experiences on the forums. Good luck and since Houston is close to the Caribbean it should be a quick flight :) Have fun planning
2. You can try DR. (punta cana or puerto plata) with all inclusive. prices around that time of the year are very reasonable. you can get something at start price of US$560 dollars for 2 people in all inclusive hotel for 7 nights. also ticket prices would be about the same as price concern. Good luck!!!
3. You best bet is to figure out where you want to go in the Caribbean or Mexico. So many deals out there especially for May. It all depends what YOUR budget is and how many days you want to be away. What you would like to do on your honeymoon. One thing for sure look for all-inclusive resorts. Your meals and drinks will be included with your room. At least you will know that is taken care of. If none of these sites do it for you, go to your local travel agency for help.
