Can't play with family (sims 2)?

Hello I have a problem. Obviously. I recently installed The Sims 2, and all of the Expansion Packs. Now I had this family, who was very rich (due to frequent use of cheats, including boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true). Now I had them buy a second house on Twikkii Island. Then I sent them to that home. Now, when I go to the lot in question, I can't play in Live mode. I can only build or buy stuff. Then, when I go back to their regular home, it says the family is on vacation and would I like to go to that lot now? I've tried moving the family out of the house, but it says it can't be done, because the family is on vacation. I've tried removing the holiday home, and it said there's a family in it, thus nothing can be done to it. What do I do? Also, I can't get anyone in the game to go to work, school or University. I daren't try using the Force Error thing, because I entirely distrust the testingCheatsEnabled cheat. Should I do it anyway, and won't it cause any damage?

1. This sounds like some kind of glitch. Maybe you need to ask the Sims 2 support team for help. This hasn't happened to me before, but something similar has, like deletion of Sims for no reason. Maybe try going to their vacation house from their normal house (though I'm sure you've already tried that). I'm so sorry this happened!
