What’s the most important thing to do first when you find out last-minute guests are on their way over? When you get word that last-minute guests are on their way to your home, you can probably think of a dozen or more things you need to do: fix your appearance, clean your home, prepare food and drinks. What do you think is the most important thing to do before visitors arrive to make them feel welcome?

  1. Well for me, I just tighty up my house. I make sure I'm dressed for guests...(not being in my jammies or make sure I have my bra on..lol). Unless I'm having a party, I don't prepare any food/snacks. I do make sure I have tea. Guests are usually friends, so if they aren't use to how I am, or my home, (and usually my home is neat/clean for the most part), then they need to plan ahead of time to come over, or just not show up unexpectantly/last minute. To me, I think the most important thing to do is just be yourself. Guests are friends, and being yourself and being courteous (offering something to drink), is a good way to making guests feel at home/welcomed.
  2. Make sure the bathroom is clean!
  3. Make sure the bathroom is clean and have a drink ready to offer them. Oh, yeah, and make sure you're dressed.
