Greece Vacation!!! TIps?

Okay, i am pretty sure i am going to Greece next Spring Break!! So, what is the best hotle to stay in like i want to be able to go to Athens and places like that. I think i might want to stay at Porto Galini, on the island of Lefkada. Is that close to the main land, or is every island by each other, just have to take a boat, because i think im going to be going to alot of places there, so what are some good fancy hotles. I am also interested in the anicent gods and civilization so what aresome good museums about that kind of stuff? Good activeis to do there? BEACHES! (if thereare any) And, whjat is the modern city like, is it like building like new york, or like somthing else, if you have a picture, i would like to see. And what is the food like? And dose everyone ther speek Greek, or some engilish? Thank you for your help!

  1. Lefkada would be a great island to stay at as it is an island but has a bridge across the Lefkas Canal which connects it to the mainland. A little further down the coast of Lefkada is the ancient olympic site which would be a great place to visit. Lefkada is about a 6 hour drive to Athens (which is what I did) with many MANY great sites along the way. If you don't like the thought of driving to Athens then Lefkada has an airport where you could fly there. Lefkada also has many beaches including my personal favourite Porto Katsiki on the West Coast of the island. I'm not sure if there are buses or anything like that which travel to that part of the island because i sailed there which is a good option. Food is great. There are many seafood restraunts situated around the island including traditional Greek food like the Greek Salad. In Athens there are pretty much no tall buildings but has many historic sites which you would love. (photograph in link below). hope this helped! have a nice trip!
