What is the best way to obtain a resort job on a Caribbean island? I am 25/m and live in philly.?

I really love the tropics, and want to live down there for a year or so. I have experience in the restaurant industry, customer service and most of all Technical engineering, (automation, IT and electronics) industry. I also love to scuba dive, I have many times but I don't have my PADI OWD certification. I love the Domincan Republic. I would like an island that is very different culture wise from the States. I am looking for a resort where most things like room and board are taken care of. (if possible) Please let me know if anyone has any experiences and can give me some advice!

2. Get a job tending bar in Philly just to get some more experience. Try Club Med online.
3. Head towards Miami, there are a lot of companies that have headquarters there. You will also be able to check the cruise lines....... Good luck, Ex Philly guy......
