What is the best Hawaiian island to go to for a first time vacation?

My family is thinking about going to Hawaii this summer, and we were wondering which was the prettiest island to go to. We would like to do stuff as a family, but just enjoy the beach for the majority of our vacation. Which island is best for some relaxation, but still entertainment? thanks for your answers

1. I personally think Oahu has it all. If you're on a budget booking for hotel and flight for your family, you may want to try a corporate travel broker site - they have wholesale rates open to the public. Hotels are super cheap & brand name, I get better deals thru there than on priceline :) You can also get a Fun Pass that will allow you to do pretty much everything on the island (museums, kayak tours, snorkeling, luau, Iolani palace, etc etc) for just $150 - you can have unlimited access to everything for days & pay no entrance fees etc - this will save you a TON! Also, for airfare, if you have 2 people traveling, just get a Companion airfare - you can buy 1 airline ticket & get one free with the voucher. You can find all of this through a travel broker - here is one site I have used for this same thing - good luck!
2. OAHU, OMG I wish I was there right now, I went in May so maybe in the summer is a little more crowded, but I would definitely recommend it, there's so many things to do, look it up online. I am planning on going back again next year. The water is warm in the 80's. Everything pleasant.
