Grand Bahama island vacation?

Traveling to Grand Bahama Island for summer vacation next year(other island not an option since this is the only island available by ferry service from Fl-im terrified of flying) Thinking of staying at Old Bahama Bay resort Is it nice? Any other reccommendations? Places we should visit on the island? Trikk Pony horse rides on the beach? Getting mixed reviews on how great the beaches are what do u think?

2. Not sure about that Resort. I stayed at the Sheraton Lucyan and it was great. THe island is pretty laid back and for reasons I can't figure out, not real touristy. I like that. Rent a car and travel around the island. Read up on the island and see the places to snorkle and visit. Food is reasonable compared to other islands. I really like this island because its not crowded.
3. I TOTALLY argee with Tropicson. I do recommend the Sheroton. It lies right in the main toursist spot, Port Lucaya. Yes we do have hourserides. And the beaches, GREAT! The beach is RIGHT next to the hotel, Sheraton. And theres activities you could do also. Visit this site for more info: www.portlucayamarketplace.com
4. Old bahama bay is nice, but our lucaya is nicer because its all around the tourist attraction sites, plus they have shuttles, and u can rent scooters, or bikes and go round the island yourself. port lucaya is a most see, and lucayan national park is kewl 2 cause they take u kayaking.gardens of the grove. and our lucaya it self has many things to do as i said . and the beachs r great but depends what one u go to . i would recommend our lucaya beach and carol beach.
