First Vacation With Him?

My boyfriend and I have been together for good while... We are taking our first vacation together back to his hometown on Long Island in New York. There I am going to be meeting his parents for the first time. I am very nervous because I love him and I want the two most important people in his life to like me.. I know to be myself because thats all I really can be. They don't speak English and I only know enough to Spanish to say short little phrases like "I love you.." or "I miss you.." ...etc.. We plan to do things like go shopping in Manhattan..going to the beach.. etc.. Our first vacation together..What am I in for? ...how am I going to tell a story if we don't even speak the same language?

1. You need to understand that New York is a busy busy place. Also, if you're nervous, be yourself, and only speak when spoken to. Unless you think you have a good story to tell, then tell it, without droning on and on.
