Which Greek Island to stay on?

I am planning a European vacation next spring/ early summer (May-June) that includes 5 nights in Greece. I am thinking that I would like to stay on one Island and then day trip to the others. Do you recommend this? And if so, which Island is best to base out of? Thanks so much!

1. visit naxos.....pure white sand, very private, windsurfing, blue seas......but dont stay for the whole 5 days, you might get bored of the scenery.
2. My favorite island was Hydra. No beaches, but there are ladders with access to the clear water. There are no cars on the island...you can only get around by walking, bicycle or burrow. But you may want to visit other islands for a change of scenery.
3. I went to Skiathos 2 years ago and from here you can visit Skopelos, where Mamma Mia was filmed last year, and Alonisoss. There are beautiful islands. The ferry takes approx 1.5 hours to Skopelos and another 30 mins on to Alonissos. Good luck and enjoy the islands!
4. One of the best islands i love in Greece and been to it is Lefkada. Its so pretty and you are so intertaned you never get bored. The beaches there are the best! Its all sand no rock. There are so many things to explore there. If you go you'll have the best time of your life!!!
