- Yes. You can reserve nights at the hotel without adding tickets. You can reserve the hotels through any major travel site or the actual Disney site. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/
- of course you can but you have to find your own way to get there cuz disney doesn't offer transportation there.
- Yes. You will just have to arrange for you own transporation to and from Universal. I always buy my hotel room without tickets and they never give me a problem. Enjoy.
- You sure can. Disney won't hold you hostage. You do have to have your own transportation. But if you are not doing any Disney parks, it doesn't make sense. The Universal hotels are nicer than the values, and cheaper. Not to mention, when you stay on property at Universal, you get front of the line perks.
- Yes - you can stay at the Disney Hotels without having to go to the Disney parks. Just buy a 'hotel only' package. You will need your own transportation to get to Universal Studios, though.
- You'd be better off checking out the Universal resorts instead of the Disney resorts. If you stay in their resorts you get express passes automatically for the parks. Otherwise you can stay at Disney but you'll have to pay for your own transport to Universal and you don't get the express passes. The 3 Universal resorts are Portifino, Hard Rock and Royal Pacific. I've stayed at all 3 and they are all very nice.
