I need sims 2 advice ?

Ok.. all i need to no is how can i get my sims live on the holiday islands ? And does any1 no how to update the sims because my game has went abit slower

1. first off "slower" you might consider getting a better cpu for your computer, if you have a desktop your fine, if you have a laptop, your screwed lol...desktop look for intel 2 core duo's...or higher like tri's or quad cores..me i have a Q8300 @ 2.5Ghz x4 and for the holiday islands http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sims-Holiday-Expansion-Pack-PC/dp/B00005V9OV its an expansion pack you need to get (buy)
2. To get your sims to live on the holiday islands, extend you sims holiday for like weeks and stuff.. You cant actually allow them to live there.. Icant remember properly, since I play Sims 3 now.. But Im sure thats what you do.. Sorry if im no help.. Oh, and go to the sims 2 website to update it.. I think.. I HOPE I HELPED!!
3. Are we talking about Sims 2 for PC or for Console here? You can't live in the holiday destinations on the PC version (I don't know about console). If your game has been getting slower it's caused by something external. Do you download custom content? That will slow the game down. So will having a generally cluttered computer. Uninstall things you don't use. It's not the game you need to "update", it's your computer.
