Taking care of last minute things before leaving to Army basic training?
Going to be leaving to Fort Benning soon for basic training, don't want to forget to take care of anything. Is it true that I can freeze my bills while in basic training? If so, is it easy to do? Any other last minute tips would be great too.

- There is no law that allows you to "freeze" your bills. But if you talk with your creditors they may work with you. If you are married get a power of attorney done up and notarized before you leave. This would help your spouse out greatly. If you have a child out of wedlock make sure you take any child support paperwork with you. Make sure you take you bank account information with you. Buy at least one phone card before leaving, and take a bit of cash with you ($20-25).
