How to travel last minute to a random destination?
I've seen often in movies and stuff that people go to the airport and get some kind of last minute ticket to some random destination that they don't know beforehand . It is suppose to be cheap. How can I do that?

- Be in a movie.
- I read about this on some website. When a seat opens up on a plane, they'll offer it up to anyone for very cheap. http://us.lastminute.com/ http://gogreentravelgreen.com/money/find-cheap-airline-tickets-cheat-sheet/
- Well for international flights it should obviously not be possible because for most of them you need a visa but maybe it can be the case for flights inside your country. So I don't know if it's true. However, it is true that for many flights they do sometimes try to fill up the seats by providing tickets very cheaply. So I guess it's possible.
- The first thing to do is to have a lot of money available. Sure, you can do that - but is very unlikely to be cheap - it can be very expensive instead. Last minute tickets, because they are last minute, tend to be much higher cost than those bought weeks or months in advance. If you happen to want to go someplace where hardly anyone else happens to want to go that day - and there is a plane that is only half occupied, then you might (might!) get a less expensive fare. One last thought - almost everything you see in movies is fake, including this behavior.
- Book online in advance. Dont just go to the airport b/c they will use your eagerness against you lol. Try selloffvacations.com(i worked for them, great prices) or even expedia.ca has good deal. Of course check out the airlines direct website too. Message me if you want more sites, I'm a travel agent.
- I think the only people who actually travel like this are airline employees. I've traveled like this for 6 years. We do it because we don't pay for seats, so we only get on if there is a seat open at the last minute. It makes it difficult because we usually have to book the hotel when we arrive at our destination. It can be a good or bad thing. But as far as everyone else...the last minute tickets can be up to 10 times the price the other passengers pay because last minutes buyers are usually desperate and willing to pay it. And with airlines cutting seats and raising prices, last minute tickets will be more scarce and more expensive.
