  1. you gotta have money to travel. try Dominican Republic they have great resorts and not expensive like Mexico

  3. cruise to Hawaii
  4. hawaii or the bahamas
  5. The Virgin Islands
  6. go to priceline.com and see. if you do have enough money you can go to the philippines and go to Cebu Island its pretty but its about 900$ or more for a round trip ticket. but yah try priceline.com they have pretty good deals. oh and $1 is like 50Philippine money lol so if you stay for a week and you have 200-500$ youll be good. :]

  9. Camp X-ray, Guantanamo bay ? ......no seriously, -- Cuba, Dominica, Jamaica
  10. January is the 'on season' for almost all tropical islands, so unfortunately it's going to be very difficult in gettting an inexpensive trip for one week. I know this doesn't help you now, but just for the future: Plan your vacations at the end of October and the first two weeks of Nov. Its the cheapest time of the year for the Carribean. Now, that being said, you could always try some place close to you on the Yucatan (spell check) peninsula in Mexico. I hear that have a number of small, out of the way hotels and resorts that are incredibly romantic and pretty inexpensive. Try to stay away from any major hotel chains (Sandals, etc) because they will not be cheap right now. You might want to research on the travel network, I remember seeing a special on the 10 most affordable resorts and there were a few in Mexico. If you decided to do the Carribean, the best way to get all your money's worth is to do all-inclusive package. Make sure, however that you read all the fine print, because all-inclusive doesn't always mean EVERYTHING inclusive. Mine for instance when I went to jamaica included everything from hotel to food to most alcoholic drinks included, plus some free water sports. You just have to research. Good luck!
  11. If you don't have a valid US Passport, your choices are within the US (Hawaii or Florida Keys) and US Virgin Islands. With valid passport, you should certainly check out the Bahamas.
  12. Cozumel is an often-overlooked tropical destination. Since it's part of Mexico, people often forget that it's a Caribbean island. It's adjacent to the world's second largest barrier reef. If you like snorkeling or scuba diving the opportunities are almost endless. I went there with a group and we found a very reasonably priced small condo complex with enough rooms for all 20 of us.
  13. Sorry but 'nice', 'affordable' and 'tropical island' don't go together in January, right in the middle of the "high season" for vacation islands. Just as you and your bf want to travel then, so does everyone else and so the prices are quite high. Wait 'til after April 15th and then you can get great deals in some really great tropical places.
  14. Barbados is a beautiful island. Lots of lovely scenery and so much to do, morning noon and night. In Barbados you can never get bored because there is something for every type of person to take part in. Barbados is also romatic. Activites for kids and older ones…you will not regret visiting Barbados! The island has great beaches and is wonderful for shopping too! http://funbarbados.com/ http://www.barbados.org/ http://www.visitbarbados.org/Splash.aspx As it relates to accommodation, there is a lovely resort in Barbados called The Barbados Beach Club. This is along the South Coast and has a lovely beach view. http://barbadosbeachclub.com/ The Barbados Beach Club is an all inclusive resort which offers breakfast, lunch, after noon tea, dinner, unlimited drinks, an exercise room (gym), pool aerobics, snorkeling, scuba diving lessons, windsurfing, Hobie cat cruises, beach volley ball, games room, free shuttle service to and from the main town and soooo much more. The activities that are included in this all-inclusive package are astounding. http://barbadosbeachclub.com/recreation.cfm The Barbados beach club has 3 restaurants on site and one of them is buffet the other two are a la carte. The two a la carte are seafood and the other is Italian. http://barbadosbeachclub.com/facilities_dining.cfm This is a wonderful resort in a wonderful island; you should come and explore it for yourself my friend. They also have a special that started December 16, 2009 and ends April 14, 2010 where you get 25% discount off the all inclusive rate: http://barbadosbeachclub.com/special-details.cfm?specialID=14571 For more information about the price for the time period you are looking at or any other questions you may have then contact them below: http://barbadosbeachclub.com/contact.cfm Have a look at the links that I gave you. Hope I helped! ♥ P.S This is a really nice hotel in a great island and I have stayed at the hotel twice so I can tell you that it is a great and affordable beach resort!
