When is the best time to book a vacation to Hawaii to ensure you got the best deal?
I am trying to book a Hawaii vacation for 4 people for the month of June (late May or early June). We want to stay in Kauai island. I found a four-star condo resort with partial oceanview 2 bedroom on the south shore (poipu beach) for about $1000/person for 7 nights... Is this a good deal? Or is it better to wait since it's still so early? Since everything in Hawaii is so expensive, I just want to make sure I got the lowest rate possible. Thanks!

- i went on this website called "travelzoo.com" it tells you a crap load of really good deals you can get on vacations. i would suggest using that website :)
- If you are planning on renting a condo check out craigslist.com you can find awesome deals on condos there. I would say book early to be sure to get a good deal but that is just me. When I did a search of Kauai a lot of rentals popped up; here is the link http://honolulu.craigslist.org/search/vac?query=Kauai&catAbbreviation=vac&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max&bedrooms=. Have a great trip!!
- No way, no offense but i mean seriously $1000/person!!!!!?? That is totally not a good deal not even an O.K. deal.I mean its nice and very beautiful there but i would not pay $1000/person just to stay for 1 week.Forget it girl, its just not worth it. Thanks!
- Low season starts at the end of the summer and for a short time in the spring, Summers are for families, Spring and fall for romantic less crowded beaches. Winter for old money whale watching and snow birds. Craigslist is a good start as well as searching all travel sites as different results will occur. Don't think about spending so much on a rooma s you will not be spending a lot of time in even when you are there your eyes are shut. You will be able to see the island from side to side and do not miss the canyon. The road around the Island does not connect in a circle so plan on one day at each side. Drive to the end, on each end there are public deserted beaches, caves, small towns, excellent small restaurants and deserted state owned beaches. You will not be resting, you can rest at work. Aloha and good luck.
- depending on where you are flying? If on the west coast, that's a bit pricey.
- Chunker, hell no $1000 per person that is a rip off...contact me at mysticmoonprincess01@yahoo.com and I will tell you my secrets to traveling cheap...if I don't answer in a few days, contact me again because your email may have gone to bulk and I usually delete...put hawaii in the subject box...I went to oahu in april and for 3 people I spent $2500 and that included flight from Tx. condo, eating one meal out per day for 7 days, activites, and souvenirs...I haven't been to kauai but I could more or less tell you how I did this for this price...
