Cheap prices on hotel - Tahiti?

Does anyone know any websites that may have really cheap accomodations at the Intercontinental Resort & Spa, Moorea in Tahiti? Or any other 4 or 5 star hotel in Tahiti or any of it's island? The best price I found so far is $1300 for 1 week in August. I'm also looking for a cheap price on a cruise from Tahiti to Honolulu. Best price on that so far has been $2485. Thanks

1. Tahiti is a pretty expensive place, you'd be in luck if you found something relatively cheap. Have you looked at www.wotif.com? It gives decent prices for last minute reservations, you should give it a try you never know :)
2. $1,300 for 7 nights - that isn't correct? Don't you mean 1,300 per person? That would be about right for low season. I have been to Tahiti and literally seen EVERY hotel in Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora & Rangiroa. If you are looking for "cheap" then you are looking at the wrong destination with Tahiti being one of the most expensive places to go to especially with the food/drinks/shopping/etc. I would say you need to consider other places for your vacation to try and suit your budget needs. I stayed at the Intercontinental and it is an ok place. Beds were super hard and a very spread out property. Didn't make me think of "Tahiti" when staying here. So many other better choices, but again from the sounds of it if you think these rates are higher others will be out of budget for you.
