Does anyone have any recommendations on how to advertise my website and properties?
Hi, I have vacation properties in Orlando, Hutchinson Island, Daytona Beach, Miami Beach, and cabins in Gatlinburg Tennessee. I just published my website and I want to know how to spread the word. Does craiglist actually work for this stuff?

- I have done web and newspaper advertising for several years. It can be very expensive, especially for so many varied locations. I would probably do some research and find out what different free publications are in certain areas. A lot of them will allow you to do a line(classified) ad at no charge just to get the readership, which means they can charge more for their display ads. I would also investigate and post on all of the free local websites I could. craigslist.com, etc... Make sure that your ads are catchy and not like everyone elses. One of the best ads I ever did was for a car which ran great but had rust on it, so on the ad heading I put "Rusty but Trusty". It sold 1 hour after the paper came out. So make sure you tell the truth in your ads, people will appreciate your honesty and be more likely to buy your product.
- I also have properties in Colorado, between Telluride and Aspen, which I have listed at Columbinerealty.com. I am in an out-of -the-way community, very private and remote on top of a mountaintop at 9500' elevation, so it's a challenge to advertise. However, I have used free Craigslist, which you could do also, and other USA Free ads to get the word out. Take a look at my site: Log home sleeps 10 is a resort/retreat for $995,000. Etc. Affordable mountain property starts at $41,000/acre. CAn you believe it? Just get out and start talking online about your stuff. Can't go wrong.
