What is upper class? It depends on where you live not how much you make. In long island ny $100k is not upper?
should not the middle class income level not be determined by where you live? I make over $200k I have wife and 3 kids we barley get by with are large mort 16k a year in property and school taxes and 1 vacation a year are we upper class no we are middle class but I get no tax rebate because gov says I am upper class.

- Definitely depends on where you live - $200K in sw PA where I am is a lot, but on Long Island or several other places around the country, is probably upper middle class but that's about it. But don't feel too bad about not getting the rebate. Next year there's a tax cut that will make some of it up to you - even with 3 kids you probably pay enough tax to benefit from it. People who get the rebate now will get less or no benefit next year from that tax cut, but you will.
- Since when has class had anything to do with money? I thought the US was a classless society, and the population had no class. Class is determined by ancestry, breeeding and education, which is (hopefully) reflected in your profession or occupation.
