7 mile beach in cayman island. The public area was not that good where the driver dropped us ?

one person answers that we can walk from pier to the north about 10 minute to where 7 mile beach starts. However, is there any spot, i mean in front of any hotel, we can rent beach chairs and umbrella and enjoy quiet beautiful view of beach. I went to 7 mile beach in the public area last year on cruse vacation, but i dont want go that area again. the view is not as good as any other beaches in the caribean Maybe we better walking to the north until we find the nice spot. But i have two kids who may complain about walking too long.

1. The Cayman Islands are only good for banking, every movie-goer knows that!
2. There are several hotels along the beach that 'reserve' spots for their guests. You could check with the hotels in advance and see if they 'rent' places for the public on their portion of the beach. Sometimes that about the only option you'll have on a busy and beautiful beach! We went in 2004 and it was the most beautiful beach I have ever been to. I'm sorry to hear about your experience, give it another shot and try looking around for 'rental' space. Good luck!
