NON touristy things to do in Hawaii?

Were planning our honeymoon / long overdue vacation... We pretty much just want privacy, to rent a jeep and get lost in the jungle, drink on the beach, screw under waterfalls, that sort of thing. We are planning for about a week's stay. All i can find on the web is 'group tourist activities' yuck! Everything is on a low budget, so where shoud we stay? Which island should we go to? Are there liquor stores in Hawaii, or do we have to blow $$ at the bars? If it helps, we are nature lovers not people persons... thanks, i was thinking the same thing, we want to homestead/retire there someday anyway.

1. I would probably go to alaska instead. but yes you can buy liquor here without going to a bar. i personally like maui.
