Can anyone tell me about Kefallonia?

I'm Greek but I've never been there...I'm going for vacations and I would like you to tell me some things about the island.

3. Keffalonia is in the Ionian group of islands along with Corfu and Zante.It is on the western side of Greece.It was hit by a major earthquake and was badly damaged in the last century.The only town to survive was Fiscado.It has great beaches and superb views.I,however did not like it as much as the islands in the Aegean side of Greece.Suggest you read Captain Correli's Mandolin

5. hello my diar kefalonia is very nice places for vacation have nice beaches the dist ants from Athens is 3 hrs to Petra every day tow times have ferry boats about 2 hrs to sami nice to enjoy moro mou kontes from Corfu
6. It's VERY BEAUTIFUL! My roots are 75% from that part of Greece. There are many great beaches, both sandy and rocky. The biggest downside is probably that there are a LOT of bees there. At least, there were when I visited two summers ago

It has 365 villages.It is a very attractive island and you will have a fantastic time.If you are at all religious,a few days before the 15th of August,(the dormition of the virgin Mary) little snakes with the sign of the cross on their heads come out and they are very tame.Stay in Argostoli and that way you can go everywhere you want around Kefalonia.Good luck and i hope you have lots of fun!!!!!!!!
