why do attorneys wait till the last minute to make a demand to an insurance company?

last minute, meaning the statute of limitations is almost reached.

  1. they can string it out longer
  2. Ask your attorney, but in some states the interest on a claim starts on the date of loss, not from the date suit was filed or post judgment. Is it possible that our treatment just ended and/or you were waiting on a permanency rating? That could be another reason. Most RI attorneys wait until the SOL is about to expire before making a demand.
