why do attorneys wait till the last minute to make a demand to an insurance company?
last minute, meaning the statute of limitations is almost reached.

- they can string it out longer
- Ask your attorney, but in some states the interest on a claim starts on the date of loss, not from the date suit was filed or post judgment. Is it possible that our treatment just ended and/or you were waiting on a permanency rating? That could be another reason. Most RI attorneys wait until the SOL is about to expire before making a demand.
